Athletic Trainers
Athletic Trainers at UOC Sports Medicine specialize in the prevention, care, and reconditioning of orthopaedic injuries. Athletic trainers work with patients to establish conditioning programs, council on nutrition, establish and monitor rehabilitation programs. As specialists in the prevention, recognition, and rehabilitation of injuries incurred by athletes, athletic trainers administer immediate emergency care and, under the supervision of our physicians, use their knowledge of the injuries incurred by the physically active individual and the factors influencing them to develop a treatment program based on medical, exercise, and sports sciences. They also work in the clinical area providing patient care.
UOC Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers are highly educated and skilled professionals licensed by the state of Alabama specializing in athletic health care, and serve as an integral part of the UOC Sports Medicine clinical team.
